Today

it snowed.

Mundane obnoxious matter

procured a disguise of splendor,

for a picture perfect moment.

Mouth open,

savoring the clarity of chill,

like a six year old

whooping and screaming

flinging snowballs,

you would have embraced

this tenuous moment.

Through obnoxious silence

I watched the iridescent

flakes prepare formations,

beyond this window

seeing things that are not.

Worthless diamonds

adorn a mantle of white

today it snowed,

through frozen tears,

I find my way, once more.
